TDS are one of those things I've just never understood.

It's a derangement to see the world around you.

It's just so crazy to me because after all this time, after all the things he has done in office, it requires some form of derangement to still support such an objectively bad president. I'm pretty sure he's going to earn a spot at the second worst president in US history.

If TDS is real, it's a term for his supporters not those who exist in the real world.

It originally started as Bush Derangement Syndrome, then became Obama Derangement Syndrome, now Trump supporters think they're intelligent to have come up with Trump Derangement Syndrome all by themselves, even though they just continued the DS meme by swapping Obama with Trump.
Just how one side handwaves away any criticism of their Leader, as cults often do. The Leader is always right and is never to be questioned (hilarious as Trump supporters spent 8 years questioning and trashing Obama)
