Disney owns the film rights to 101 Dalmatians... Its why they made 4 movies. They even made a tv show.

Tarzan has always been a legal challenge for Disney. Disney owns the rights to the movies and tv shows that they produced but they licensed out the character itself from the estate of Edgar Burroughs. That said Edgar Burroughs died in 1950, so 70 years after his death should mean that his copyright on the character would expire next year, if it hasnt already. Disney really has no issue there, even if for some reason they still had to pay a fee for one more year that was negotiated back when they secured the copyright.
