When I first heard about this site I was thirteen or fourteen and my friend tried to get me to sign-up. That generation is aging out of games it seems because we have adult responsibilities now. Im actually surprised there are younger people on this site today. Seems like at least for social media theres a new platform every other month that kids jump onto and abandon the old. Thought it would work the same way for gaming forums.

It's not that generations are being aged out. While some do feel they're too old now, majority of people who don't play anymore is due to the shitty practices from companies.

They're tired of being nickle and dimed from microtransactions. Sick of games needing to have an online connection at all times even if it's a single player game. So many games come out but so few are interesting.

Every person I know, every board I go to, or anywhere else I look, that's the major issue. People are unhappy in general. People my age are turning to ROMs or old systems because the problems we're dealing with now weren't an issue years ago. The games weren't perfect, but they're still fun

I mean people who work full-time come home from work and want to relax and not sit and grind away at a game. When Im done working twelve or fourteen hour days I go wherever Im staying, shower and go to bed. The Xbox goes on to watch Netflix and thats about it.

Im waiting for something to come along that has every system from Dreamcast back with every game. I actually liked older games with their imperfections and glitches. GoldenEyes made the game better imo. The floating-mine trick made it so enemies could pull grenades but not be able to release them so they would more and more frantically try to throw it as the timer counted-down before ultimately exploding in their hand.
