I'm surprised to learn that scammers won't honor a list.

When you're already planning to break the law by scamming someone or phishing someone, why the fuck would you give a shit about breaking the law by ignoring the Do Not Call list? It's like going out of your way to not jaywalk on your way to murder someone on the other side of the street.

Though the plus side of the Do Not Call list is that you know that the dozen unsolicited calls a day you're getting are all garbage and safe to ignore, because no one legitimate (other than charities or politicians) is going to be calling.
