The impression I get is that your opinion of the game is going to depend on whether or not you're looking for a fun game with an interesting story, or are more willing to accept Kojima's usual weirdness for the "experience", and if you're willing to cut him slack over being experimental with mechanics that may not necessarily be all that fun (or necessary). Personally I never liked the Metal Gear Solid games, and this looks like more of the same, only moreso.
