You don't have to fight it at all.

Don't like Youtube's policies? You are completely free to start your own video sharing website and make up whatever rules you want for it. If Youtube's censorship is truly as onerous as you're implying, the free market should support you all the way.

Google is more than just a private company at this point. You'd have to be a fool to think it isnt

So you're saying they're a public utility then? Doesn't that mean the government's going to have to nationalize them?

Sounds like an awfully left-wing idea coming from you.

Anyways, unless and until that happens, yes, Google is a private company and nothing more. They owe no greater commitments to their consumers than any other private company. Their terms of service are quite clearly spelled out, and you clicked the "I agree" button when you scrolled past them while creating your account. I have absolutely zero sympathy for anyone who loses their Youtube privileges for ignoring those rules and getting the consequences that they were explicitly told about when they signed up for the 100% free service.

The issue with Youtube is their size dominating the market creating a monopoly.

They're not really a monopoly, though. There's plenty of other video sharing sites out there, including Facebook - not exactly a small company themselves. If you don't like Youtube, you're free to use any of the others.

A massively successful company is not the same thing as a monopoly.
