Topic	would it still be worth being a cop WITHOUT a deadly firearm?

They instead made me leave MY HOME and told me not to go anywhere near him for 24 hours until I calmed down and that they would be "watching me." He robbed me blind durring that time. BUT lucky for me the asshole got caught robbing some old womens house 2 months later and went to prison for 8 years because he had a weapon and she was home while he did it (was his girlfriends grandma).
