I mean it wasn't knocking on the door, but we did have someone who pretended to be a woman with a terminal illness posting for several years before admitting later that none of that was true. Tthe person directly called out several users they "fooled", myself included. Regardless, if someone tells me they're female, I'm still fine with believing them because it's not like there's a cost to it.
