One cool thing about mid-00's internet was how you didn't feel so confined to specific websites; I mean, you still had the sites you regularly frequented, but nowadays it feels like there's a half dozen or so sites you visit as the "default" and don't venture off from as much. When I got my first computer in 2002ish the first thing I did was type random words into the URL to try to find new sites.
