There is a large amount of old people who get their opinions from the TV news that waffle between whatever candidate the TV is pushing at the time because they are incredibly dumb, and just want to vote for whoever they see on TV a lot because that makes them think they can win or are serious candidates. That is the true reason we keep seeing a big chunk waffle between different people from Kamala to Biden to Warren to Pete. So the polls just don't really matter this far out at all, except the ones where people say they are not going to change their choice, or how excited they are. There are probably a lot of old people who, if you ask who they support on the phone, will be like "oh i kind of like that pete guy" because they keep seeing him on TV, but that doesn't mean they are dedicated Pete guys who will end up voting for him. Their brains are malleable clay.
