There is another rumor that Disney had multiple test screenings of Rise of Skywalker with different endings and the response they got was so poor they had to do even more reshoots less then a few months from release, which is where I guess this "information" is in part coming from.
Rey and Kylo team up to face Palpatine.
Palpatine reveals Rey is his granddaughter (or is otherwise related to him by blood).
Kylo is knocked down a hole and presumed dead.
Rey picks up Kylo's lightsaber and dual wields lightsabers to defeat Palpatine in 1 vs 1 combat.
Right before the credits role, someone asks Rey her name, and she replies, "Rey Skywalker".
how the actual fuck can she be a skywalker if shes emperor palpatines granddaughter when emperor palpatine was not related to shmi skywalker or anakin for that matter? ---
