I'd argue it would probably be Blue in M:tG.

Taking an enemy's power and using it yourself seems like it would have to be a card mechanic where you steal or control another player's cards, and that's blatantly Blue. Steal, copy, control, and clone are all effects almost exclusively on Blue cards.


I would say TC is still referring to FF mages since 'Green', though exceedingly rare and usually confined to buffs/debuffs, is a legit FF magic type. It's just that most games roll its spells into white/black magic most of the time. In Tactics A2 Green Mages were a legit class though. So you have white/black mages (obv), Red (the mix mage), Blue (learning enemy abilities), and green (buff/debuff).
