Yeah, I don't always think these bands are consistent enough songwriters talent wise to put out phenomenal albums, but they do have some great instincts that shine through on individual songs sometimes. They certainly have a lot more authenticity in their sound and performances than the more manufactured pop acts of the 2000s and 2010s, even if some of them were pretty strongly propped up by music labels.


Tell All Your Friends by Taking Back Sunday, Through Being Cool by Saves the Day, and Full Collapse by Thursday are all phenomenal albums, and they're part of the emotive pop punk/post hardcore-ish scene. I'd honestly say the first two albums I mentioned are top 10 pop punk albums of all-time worthy
