Some examples of well liked remakes: True Grit Ocean's 11 Invasion of the Body Snatchers The Nutty Professor Additionally: Independence Day (this is a remake of War of The Worlds, let's be real) The Hobbit... Yeah the original was animated but that's not really any different than the remakes they're doing now Charlie and the chocolate factory / Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory There's also several movies about the same legend even though they're not remakes of each other they all use the same source material.
