I would take his performances in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and The Number 23 over Ace Ventura or The Mask any day. His goofy slapstick worked way better to me for sketch comedy in his In Living Color days. That's not to say he wasn't great in Liar, Liar and Bruce Almighty, but overall I actually like him better in drama than comedy. And regarding the buffoonery quote, that was Tommy Lee Jones' opinion of him after they met going into Batman Forever...which was a terrible Batman movie and I loathe Carrey's Riddler. --- The SBA has closed for business, we thank you for your patronage Assassins. ~there's always free cheese in a mousetrap. ...
