Topic	Double standards and why I am leaving gamefaqs

I cannot stand double standards, as they promote hostility between two groups and produce extremists like you see on incels boards or politically correct anti-male media. The latter I have begun to see appear IRL especially in grad school, and I find it alienating and hurtful. Nevertheless this same issue is now on gamefaqs, and it didn't used to be this way. I don't know how people became so partisan in all things you can have an opinion on. The only place I can have real discussions is among close friends of whom I suspect of themselves tending some bigoted beliefs themselves. But it is at least the diversity within these friend groups that allows discussion and genuine points to be made, opinions to change. Current events always had trolls, but the moderators dealt with them. They never went away (I'm still here) but now the moderators themselves are morally degenerate. Watching Admiral get banned was amusing because the dude wasn't always crazy. He was legit a cool dude at one point and somehow became radicalized. Possibly from seeing double standards. I think a lot of people voted for Trump, personally, because they are sick of double standards. In the end, actions like moderation just push people towards hostility and extreme beliefs Personally I will be staying away from all that, but also from this website. This placed used to be cool, and while this long post completely lacks the emotional context necessary to empathize with -therefore to generate a real discussion- there might be some guy who silently agrees. I'll just say this. Fuck racists, sexists, incels, homophobes, transphobes, etc. And fuck the people who promote this behavior. Have a good one CE.
