I finished it the other day. Thoughts from a purely offline/single-player perspective:

Pros:
Little/no bugs, only found two cargo pieces in rocks (still able to be picked up) across 81 hours.
Characters were interesting, mo-cap was good and voice direction wasn't too bad despite celebrity status.
Walking was conscious/active, it isn't a TES style game where you get bored of sliding along and just fast travel.
Figuring out paths and figuring out how to navigate Sam up and down them was cool.
Tech design is top notch Yoji as always.
A couple wicked fun boss fights and good scenes relating to BB in them.
Mules are good to goof around with and beat up.
Floating carriers and speed armor are great fun.

Cons
Amelie's voice actress had terrible direction.
Twists were fairly telegraphed/easily guessed.
Except for the pair of wicked fun boss fights, the remainder were kind of boring. The human cast being weighted heavily towards Sam's side precluded any kind of cool or interesting antagonists like the Cobras or Winds, and if you aren't a games journalist (or aren't intentionally trying to lose) you very likely won't see any boss monsters outside of story events.
Vehicles are kind of useless unless you build roads, which cost a lot of mats and back-and-forthing.
Killing is punished, which is OK but might have made for a cool mechanic with increasing craters/BTs in the world.
Low Roar, Low Roar, Low Roar. 90% of the music is from Low Roar so I hope you're a fan of Low Roar. I wasn't before and I'm not now

So overall, no I wouldn't rate it 5/10. It's a solid setting, an OK story and fun to play if you don't go in expecting a shoot em up or the second coming of Metal Gear.

I'm a huge Low Roar fan and honestly, one of the few reasons why I'm interested in the game to some extent.
