Between the options of a likely-fruitless impeachment or letting it slide in order to concentrate on winning the next election, the former was necessary in this case. Our reputation on the world stage is in the gutter, and it was important to make the moral play and show that at least some of our government won't sit idly by and let our president flagrantly abuse his power without consequence. --- Simple questions deserve long-winded answers that no one will bother to read. ...
