darkphoenix181 12/09/19 5:51:03 PM #89: | Here is another good explanation. This is more for others since I think you decided to believe what you want no matter what: https://www.everystudent.com/forum/trinity.html John 12:45 45 And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me. Niv 45 The one who looks at me is seeing the one who sent me. The unbelieving Jews understood what Jesus said, that he is one with God. John 10 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. 30 I and my Father are one. 31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. 32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? 33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. 34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? 35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; 36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? 37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. 38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him. 1. He is one with the father 2. The Jews took it to mean he made himself Gid 3. He is IN the father AND the father is also in him. How can they be in each other if totally separate entities? They can't. John 14 8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us. 9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father? 10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. Show us the father. Jesus: you already seen him, because you have seen me ... Copied to Clipboard! |
