Right, we've gone over this. This is a stupid way to look at things. Stupid and damaging.

You're not "advantaged" or "privileged" over someone just because there are people who consider their natural state inferior. And if you believe so, you're a bigot.

And having both parents isn't some sort of privilege or advantage. You can say that someone raised with a single parent or orphaned is disadvantaged, fuck even relatively "underprivileged", "less" privileged than someone with both parents if you want to force the point. But that's a socioeconomic issue, and that's not how the word is used. Privilege by definition is an advantage, it's not just a "neutral" statement. A privilege is something that sets a group of people above or even just apart from others. It's not just a lack of a disadvantage.

I am not "fortunate" because I don't belong to this or that group that suffers prejudice. If I thought so I'd really be a bigot. Oh hey, thank goodness I'm not gay. Thank goodness I'm not black, wow I wouldn't want to be black, that really sucks. Man good thing I'm a man and not a woman, that's messed up. I'm so fucking privileged, awesome.
