It mostly has to do with the subject matter of their songs and the lyrics which is why Crawling and that other song are the butt of every emo joke on the planet. i mean there's more to being a band than just having a talented vocalist. there's a couple of nu metal/post-grunge bands that had good singers. shinedown immediately comes to mind. but they still sucked ass because the dude had no songwriting ability whatsoever --- https://imgur.com/HUHxlFl You act like I don't know my own way home ...
