At this store, I wash more dishes than do anything else while i'm in the store. We're a dine-in location, so there's a lot of them. I also help out with food prep, fold boxes and fry/sauce the wings. I never top or sauce the pizzas, although ocassionally i'll cut them when they come out of the oven if everyone else is busy.

The servers and managers do the majority of answering the phones. I've helped out more with that at other stores, but I don't like doing it.

If we're slow enough, I'generally get sent home, which sucks for my paycheck, but I don't really mind.

I guess it should be fine if you live at home and dont need a lot of extra money.

Theres tier 1 offices manned up north but I am in charge of our San Antonio Colo physically and the entire network logically at night. If I take a vacation an engineer from the day shifts either take my shift or is on call.

Ah. I see...

Bossman doesn't really care as long as we get our shit done.

I think that is how it should be for a lot of jobs...

Basically whenever I want to work right now. Im going to eventually be second shift. But for now I start around 8am. This week Im doing 4 10s since I needed Monday off.

Do you need Monday off for moving? And would you rather work 4 10s or 5 8s?
