It still sucks but it's slightly less terrible. I was playing around the time the update dropped and it made it so I was at least able to at least do some of the very easy ones and up my lock pick skill. Also, there are multiple ways to complete most quests. Some are more roundabout but you can often avoid aspects of the game that you're bad at or dont find fun. Like someone else mentioned it's better to rp instead of really trying to control the story.
