CBD isn't a mood altering drug.

To be fair, some straight-edge people would argue that even taking drugs like Tylenol is a step too far. .

And there's an argument to be made that being in less pain is a mood-altering experience.

Granted, me personally, I'd live my life doped to the gills on Demerol if I could, so it's not like I'm going to be judgmental about any sort of painkillers for any reason, minor or major. But some people definitely are, for a myriad of reasons.

theres nothing addictive about CBD oil

Literally everything can be addictive. Behavioral addictions can easily occur even in cases where chemical addiction isn't a primary factor.

That's where things like gambling addiction come in. And why, even for stuff like smoking, people will point out that the behaviors involved (having something in your mouth, going on smoke breaks, etc) can make it hard to quit just as much as the actual withdrawal does (part of why chewing gum became such a common method for coping when quitting).

But with CBD, the real problem is that we really haven't done a ton of in-depth studies to really get at the root of what potential negatives or side-effects it might have, so there's the fear that it might be doing damage we won't really understand until like 20 years from now. Though even that isn't necessarily going to be a deal-breaker (like how Tylenol can potentially cause liver damage).
