I knew back in 2004 Resident Evil was ruined with 4, so I'm making sure to have the action game mindset when I play the 3 of them. I'll probably think of them as non-canon too tbh. Many of the creative team who developed the previous games weren't even involved in RE4 (Hideki Kamiya comes to mind) It's funny seeing people say RE5 and 6 were too action-focused when many fans already knew it with RE4. --- ~Nintendo 64.
