The entire point is to trick someone to look down, not put it in their direct eye line, in this case, the camera.... I play it with my little sister in law. I don't punch her, I just get her to look, then laugh when she does. I've done this with people across a room or even a pic over text. Its just a simple "lol made you look" or "gatcha" silliness.
