Most mental illness are things that normal people worry about now and then, but such that it's interfering with your life and welfare. It's not washing your hands a lot, it's washing your hands so often that it actually creates serious problems. It's not feeling anxiety or depression, it's feeling them so heavily that it makes it impossible for you to go out and function.

People on both sides forget this. People who don't have mental illness don't remember or realize that they aren't feeling the same things, they're feeling it much worse. People with them tend to miss this fact as writing it off as "others deal with it, you can too" and never get help they could use.

Both would be better off understanding this. Would make everyone happier :D
