It's one of the feelings I take to mean I've found something good. Plus you need the bad and the good and that bit of escapism. If we weren't absolutely submerged in awful things, there'd be little value in digging up old stuff and getting immersed in what it makes you think about. They'd just be present day things that fail to counterweight the bad. Whether past times would actually have been better to live in because of narratives your life would have or things you wouldn't be aware of is pretty up in the air, but I don't think "I wish I was from that time" is a great response to finding something from it you like. Unless y'know you wanna build a time machine and take your appreciation of said time back with you. --- Still waiting on that third threat ... Copied to Clipboard! |
