There doesn't seem to be any way of saying you don't really beat the game if you cheat without coming off as condescending apparently well when he says "you have by no stretch of the imagination beaten the game" there's little room to argue it's not coming across as a condescending gatekeeper mentality he may not be telling you "how to play the game" but he's basically saying he doesn't accept your terms if you don't beat it his way --- ...
