The cool thing about CGI is, when done well, no one notices it. For instance, the whole chase sequence that spans Fury Road is filled with CGI.

First of all you only really know it's CGI because it was non-existent technology on a landscape that doesn't exist.

Secondly there's a lot of that Chase scene that actually isn't CGI at all. There's production videos of live shots and it's kind of ridiculous how much of it was actually real.


Most of that 'non-existent technology' is actually practical. The stunts (a good chunk of the characters are in front of a green screen) and a lot of the visuals outside of the structures and cars are CGI. That doesn't take away from how great the movie is imo, I personally think it makes it better and refreshing to see CGI done well.
