| Grand Kirby 12/30/19 4:51:14 PM #356: | The prequels are not good. But I can't honestly say I enjoyed them less than the sequel trilogy. One thing I've noticed is that the sequels actually end up causing me more displeasure outside of the films themselves. I rewatched the original trilogy recently and I couldn't help but enjoy them less with the knowledge that it's all pointless. The victories they've won won't matter in the sequels, and all the heroes are going to die miserably. It's really hard to watch the ending to Return of the Jedi with any sense of hope knowing that now the First Order is going to rise and destroy all the peace that everyone fought so hard for, that Han and Leia are going to give birth to a mass murderer and end up bitter and separated, and that nearly all the new Jedi are going to be purged again.
