Overall the art direction was great - the backgrounds, planes, and bosses were all delightful to look at. The time mechanic was pretty cool - rather than a set amount of hits you had a countdown to beat the level in X amount of time, and if you killed an enemy you would get more time, but if you got hit you would lose time. One annoying thing was that you lose your powers on hit, which was kind of a pain - especially on bosses. The bosses themselves were hit or miss.
