Again, it has nothing to do with whether a woman can or cannot win. The point was that old conservative Republicans will in fact support a woman. That's the only demographic we're discussing here. Not whether or not a woman can win, just that your statement here:

Does not bear out on reality. Palin is also not the only successful female politician from the GOP. A lot of people think the GOP hates women, non-whites, etc. But it loves the ones that will support their ideology. There are popular woman, non-whites, etc. in the GOP because they tell the white majority of the party what it wants to hear. It's not complicated really. Just like how they hate white males that don't tell them what they want to hear. It's not a simple race/gender ideology, that's just part of their overall ideology.
