Topic | Fake News CNN: Bernie told Warren that a woman can't win. |
ssjevot 01/13/20 11:13:02 PM #35: | Ricemills posted... so are you saying, if Palin was nominated as a president she will lose the election? Again, it has nothing to do with whether a woman can or cannot win. The point was that old conservative Republicans will in fact support a woman. That's the only demographic we're discussing here. Not whether or not a woman can win, just that your statement here: Skye Reynolds posted... If by some fluke the Republican nominee was female and the Democratic nominee was male, I believe 60% of senior male conservatives would vote Democrat, refuse to vote, or do a protest vote (a third party candidate, "Mickey Mouse," etc.). But where does that leave liberals, or perhaps more specifically liberal seniors, when it comes to voting for a female candidate? Was Hillary unpopular because she was female or was she unpopular because she was Hillary? Does not bear out on reality. Palin is also not the only successful female politician from the GOP. A lot of people think the GOP hates women, non-whites, etc. But it loves the ones that will support their ideology. There are popular woman, non-whites, etc. in the GOP because they tell the white majority of the party what it wants to hear. It's not complicated really. Just like how they hate white males that don't tell them what they want to hear. It's not a simple race/gender ideology, that's just part of their overall ideology. --- Favorite Games: BlazBlue: Central Fiction, Street Fighter III: Third Strike, Bayonetta, Bloodborne thats a username you habe - chuckyhacksss ...
