Well, after 10 years of the Best New Character contest, it's time to finally determine the Best New Character of the decade! The rules will be the same as the yearly contests, only with more nominations allowed per day and a larger total character count.

In addition, the ten winners and the ten runner-ups of the yearly contests will automatically be included in the contest as the top seeds. These characters are:

The character must have premiered within the last decade.

-Characters who previously premiered in literature or comics are eligible based on their film/tv/game appearances.
-Characters who previously premiered in media appearances may be considered new if the interpretation of the character is new (ex. Gotham's "Batman" characters) but only that particular version of the character is eligible.
