| KamikazePotato 01/20/20 8:35:55 PM #26: | 33. Rune Factory 4 Harvest Moon type games are like crack for me. I find one, play it for like 100 hours, and then never want to touch it again...and then I move on to the next one. Stardew Valley was great because it combined Harvest Moon stuff with light RPG combat, two things that went well surprisingly together. Rune Factory 4 took it a step further, simplified the farming aspects while significantly increasing the importance and nuance of combat. The result is two pretty fun games that combine to form one really fun game. It's kind of like Persona, where each day you have the option of socializing and prepping for the future or just going out and knocking heads. When I've gotten bored of one aspect of the game, I just switch to the other and have a blast.
