Mass Effect 2 I don't know if I would like Mass Effect 2 to this degree if I was playing it for the first time today, but it was such a fun zetgeist when it came out. Everyone was going nuts over favorite characters, Renegade vs. Paragon, favorite store on the citadel ect. I was even convinced by the hype to slog through Mass Effect 1 to get to this game, and I wasn't disappointed. The game has fun gameplay, great characters, a fun sci-fi world, excellent pacing, and a gripping ending that is built up to very well. It deserved all those Game of the Year awards. I honestly don't have bad things to say about it except that collecting planet resources is a dumb time waster.
