it's very easy to say something's "not a big deal" if you're in a position of privilege and not part of the demo it affects

I think most people would admit that women politicians face a whole different set of challenges than a male politician.

But I think the way the Bernie campaign dealt with both is pretty shitty. He could have just admitted both and apologized and/or explained and it would have gone over way better.
