Rage 2 is a much more enjoyable game that Doom 2016. I feel comfortable comparing them because the combat and pace is so similar. Rage 2 never got boring for me and the experience was varied and interesting enough to keep me engaged the whole campaign.

Agreed. The only reason people didn't play it was because they didn't like the first game. Which is dumb because the first game was solid and the sequel is almost completely unrelated.

I liked DOOM well enough but outside of the core combat the game is completely barren and revels a bit too much in not having a story or framework at all. I would have preferred another Doom 3.
