I follow a bunch of youtube channels that cover a lot of the stories that have been discussed. A lot of the ones where people end up getting killed or go missing due to a position they put themselves in or the killer's desperation (spurned lover, thief, etc) don't hit me as hard anymore. There's one case where 2 girls went missing while hiking on vacation, I think in South America, and there was some creepy evidence like random photos being taken with the girls' phones and whatnot but I mean...they're hiking in a foreign country, there's logical steps that could've led them to get lost and die in the wilderness.

Serial killers, random acts of violence, and the vanishings without a trace get me though. There's one video where people pull into the driveway of their mom's house and see 2 people crouched outside her window. They just stay still until another person comes out of the bushes and fires on the people in the car. Everyone got away okay but the people were never caught and the mom had no enemies or anything, would've just been a completely random murder (or hopefully just burglary but with how trigger happy they were who knows).
