I remember watching it while I was enlisted in the military and almost going to blows with one of my bunkmates because he kept saying that the mental hospital stuff was also a delusion. He thought the real lives of the characters were in the burlesque dancer house. I was literally screaming at him that the mental hospital portions were their real life and the burlesque house was a fantasy.
