In reality a lot more people are probably sick with it who won't die. The rate is probably less than 1%. Afaik the death ratio of people who completely went through the illness in China is almost 10%. As in, that's how bad it is if you exclude people who didn't have the time to fight off the virus yet and may die in a week. Just saying that the 2% death ratio may be lower if you include the "invisible" lenient symptom cases, but it also may be far higher if you don't use the wrong numbers in your calculations.
