Lets do some math to see how someone could even get that much

504 x 25 = 12,600 per quarter

There are 3 months per quarter, so

12600/3 = 4200

That person was already making $4,200 a month in order to receive the max benefit of $504 a week. Which is about half their expected income.

These people are still making LESS money on unemployment than if they were employed. So idk what the fuck youre on about

Uh if you are employed, you have FICA, federal, state and local income taxes, and other deductions coming out of your pay.

On UI, plus the federal allowance, you get that amount without having those amounts taken out.

That's how you can have more take home pay and basically get a 4 month paid vacation.
