Topic	If the first 6 star wars movies didn't exist, how would that impact the new

They would probably be box office bombs like John Carter and this is even assuming JJ could even write them without yoinking most of the content from existing movies. I mean if we look at the each movie as part of the story and we make it so that... let's say Luke loses in return of the Jedi. How does that change the new sequel trilogy? Everything that happens in the first 6 are completely inconsequential, everything gets undone by the 7th movie.
