Previously, he lived in New York his whole life. He never had or claimed Florida residency until sometime in the last year. But now he says he is a Florida resident and votes there because he owns property there and spends most weekends there. So, do rich people with vacation homes in multiple states get to choose which one they vote in? What if a lot of New Yorkers with vacation homes in Florida switch their voter registration there and vote by mail from New York? That could swing the Florida election and its treasure trove of 29 electoral votes, whereas New York is a deep blue state. If you require in person voting, that person is going to have to physically fly to Florida on election day to vote, which will take many hours and cost a considerable amount for airfare.
