Made by who and can it be definitively proven to the world at large?

Because even if it was made in a lab, if nobody can prove it without a shred of doubt to the world, it's meaningless.

Let's say hypothetically, it really was made in a lab in China.

If it was, China has covered it up, and will deny any accusations. They already kicked out all foreign journalists and completely control their own media.

So the situation is exactly the same whether it was made in a lab or not.

Even if you could, hypothetically, prove without a shred of a doubt to everyone in the world that the virus was made in a lab in China, at the order of the government even, the likelihood is still nothing would change. China would still deny it. China as a world power and financial juggernaut is not beneficial for any politician or corporation (who fund the politicians) to move or speak against. Trump complain about it, that's pretty much all that would happen.
