| toyota 04/17/20 9:41:02 PM #81: | why cant people understand that calling it the 'wuhan virus' was just the colloquial name, not the official name. tbh it was never even used maliciously back then, and was being used my major news sources for like 2 or 3 months. people just got mad when they made a big drama out of it, censored it and thats when people started getting actually racist about it by then using 'chinese virus'. and look whats happening now, china is wiping documents regarding research of covid19 and wuhan. they are trying wipe them selves clean of it possibly with some sort of 1984 intent of changing history books and eventually acting like it never was from there. tbh I believe if it was originally discovered in New York, we would still colloquially be calling it the New York flu to this day regardless of whatever suggestion the WHO made up regarding the naming of viruses I honestly believe China just used their social media force to convince people through social media that it was somehow bad and malicious.
