Topic | Non-gamer sister got Animal Crossing. Highlights: |
KamikazePotato 04/17/20 9:42:29 PM #1: | (Specifically, she's 24 and hasn't played games in over a decade, with one of the last games she played being Animal Crossing on the Gamecube which she kind of remembers) -She's still getting used to the idea of equipment degradation. She gasped out loud in shock the first time her fishing rod broke and said it made her 'very sad'. -She's getting used to the button layout quickly but overall still feels a little overwhelmed. I'm not sure how long it would have taken her to figure out that the shoulder buttons are L and R if I hadn't told her directly. She keeps trying to press B to accept things and A to decline. -She's terrified about messing anything up. I told her that Animal Crossing isn't a game you can permanently screw up but she doesn't care. Constantly googles every little thing that's new to make sure she knows absolutely all the details before proceeding. -To add into that, she puts a lot of weight on doing 'what everyone else is doing', especially her friends who have been playing the game longer. -Anytime she makes a good bit of progress in the game without needing any advice from me, she gets proud and wants to show me what she did. -She is getting legitimately upset over how many bees are stinging her. She's not good enough with the controls to get away from them. More highlights as they come. --- It's Reyn Time. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
