SavageInTheBox 04/19/20 6:06:02 PM #107: | @StartTheMachine I just turned 32 a week ago. I'm in pretty good shape/health but I am prone to throat infections for whatever reason. I have had strep enough times that I probably should have gotten a tonsilectomy at some point as a preventative measure. My experience with the sore throat was similar to yours though. I've had strep so many times that I can usually tell when it's coming, and with COVID I felt like I hit step 1 ten times in a week. I would all of a sudden have a mildly sore throat, then it would disappear after a few hours, then come back 12-24 hours later. It never progressed past mild discomfort though. I'm not sure if that is typical of COVID but it's worth noting that I had a similar disappearing/reappearing sore throat I guess. It's probably just irritation from particularly bad bouts of coughing and I never noticed the correlation. And yeah, I've had quite a bit of caffeine in quarantine. Partly because I've read it can help with headaches without resorting to polluting your body with a ton of painkillers, and partly because I simply like coffee/tea. I'm not sure if I'm addicted to caffeine but I drink multiple cups of coffee per day. I've been trying to drink a ton of water as well though. --- TimJab ... Copied to Clipboard! |
