Trump finally says something smart but he waited until the last fucking second and now you know the idiot Kemp won't back off on his plans. You can't egg these morons on and then backtrack off of it when you realize they are going to cause harm. You need to send a fucking clear message. Doing it this way just shows you are trying to save face for when it inevitably fails. He waited until Kemp was balls deep into opening up, there is no backing up now so he gets what he wanted with a state opening up and he can deflect blame.
