There is a significant difference between openly saying "we should look into this" and actively telling people that it is an effective cure. It's still a stupid thing to say, but they are in no way the same sentiment and you can't just pretend they are. Dude I was responding to THIS point. Someone in his position in that situation should not be "brainstorming" random ideas just because he's free to run his mouth.
